…and these signs shall follow those who believe. Mark 16:17

Cambridge Advanced Learners Dictionary defines the word follow as ‘to move behind someone or something and go where they go’ Let us pay attention to the latter part of the definition-go where they go. Slotting this into the passage above would give us something like, ‘and these signs shall go where those who believe goes’. Taking it to simple logic then follows that if the signs will go where those who believe goes, then the signs are always with them.

As people who believe in Christ, signs and wonders are always with us, and always manifesting in us, Jesus confirms this when he said ‘out of the bellies of those who believe in me shall flow rivers of living waters’.
Funny as it may be, the Bible did not say these signs will be ours when we pray, it says they are already and always with us. Every born again child of God has the potential ability to make things happen either to themselves or others. We do not manufacture God’s power, we only manifest it, but in any case it is always with us. We are power carriers.

Over the years we have been made to believe that only some special men of God can work wonders, but this is wrong. Of a truth God does make some of us Christians to be more heard than others, but it does not change the fact that we carry the same thing.
Many a times the difference between the healing evangelist and the ordinary believer is knowledge and the exercise of it. Residual ability cannot do anything until it is powered and used.

As Christians we are not supposed to be running after miracles but souls, we are the miracles ourselves, we only need to start seeing ourselves as such and start acting that way. God told Abraham, ‘I will bless you and make you a blessing’ and as Abraham’s seeds we are blessings too.

Dear child of God going from place to place seeking miracles berates you as God’s heir, make God’s kingdom your focus, believe God’s word and start speaking and living in line with it and in no time you will see signs and wonders happening in your life. You are a power carrier and not a power follower; therefore use the power in you and make God happy.
