Am I Ready?

Am I Ready?

Am I ready to appear before the Lord,
And for my works give an account?
Will I have enough to show to Him?
Is there ever a sufficient amount?

Or is it not the amount of good works,
But our heart that God brings to light?
Have I made sure to glorify Him,
Or myself, in earthly man’s sight?

The judgment seat of Christ will be
A place where all Christians bow down.
To our King of Kings, Lord of Lords,
It’s there we will receive our crown.

Will I be ashamed of not doing more?
Will I have regrets on that day?
Will I hang my head in disgrace,
For not winning more souls from decay?

It’s fear that keeps me from some tasks,
The heavenly Father has called me to do.
But will He say “Fear is not from Me,
You’ve let satan cloud your view…”

II Corinthians 5:10 KJV
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

You ask a lot of good questions, Julie. When we stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ, will we be able to answer these questions with our heads held high? Your questions make a person search one's own soul for the answer. Well done, Julie.

a very, very beautiful poem. I am so happy that it will not depend on what I've done on that day. But what christ did for me. My works can't cheapen His blood. It's always been about His grace. beautiful job.

Julia, I appreciate your taking the time to let God influence you to write this, and I thank you for submitting it. Your subject is one I try to get people to understand. Even though we are not saved by works, but by grace, our works are important to God. If not, then He would not reward us for them. Thank you for submitting this. Thomas

This poem speaks to the heart and reminds us why as Christians we are here!!!
To Love our Lord God with all our heart,soul and strength and our neighbour as ourselves in the Power of The Holy Spirit!!!
