Even when right, I am wrong,
Having judged another for their ways;
I make my righteous assessment,
And before You show myself a fool,
For You alone are righteous;
The sage is a fool before Your wisdom;
The saint is a demon before Your holiness;

I know nothing, if I don’t know You;

I can see no heart as You do,
And my ignorance convicts me;
I will only be saved by Your mercy,
Redeemed by Your love;

I love nothing, if I don’t love You;

Correct my ways, and purify me;
I fail to stand apart from You;
May my mouth be silent,
If I cannot say things that would please You;
If I cannot make a righteous judgment;

Am I not always before Your throne?
