Fill in Excuse Here

Lord, I meant to pray today
I had so very much to say
I thought about it all the day
But, Fill in excuse here

Father, I intend to send my love
To show Your grace from above
I wanted to give my heart a shove
But, Fill in excuse here

God, I wanted to answer Your call
I wanted to surrender it all
to follow the example of Paul
But, Fill in excuse here

Jesus, I planned to honestly fast
like the times I've tried in the past
I want to break the mold I have cast
But, Fill in excuse here


I know I could have kept on going with this, but... I thank the Lord for the revelation in a conversation. May God continue to bless you and your works.
