THE EMERALD GARDEN ...

I added another Testimony previously called "The Holy Chalice." I've only had two experiences that I would call quite unusual. You can read my other articles within this website. I've added about 14 of them and many others in www.ChristianLinks.com. My main Testimony is called "The Parrot Miracle."


This event happened in 1988. At that time, too, I had my bedroom decorated with all holy pictures ... to keep my memory green ... and to keep my mind on Holy Creator 24/7 ... as I was fighting for my life. I had a 9" x 12" picture of The Sacred Heart on my wall that my friend, the late Brother Ambrose (from the Alexian Brothers) had given me, three feet away from my bed.

We were having our first Deacon installed in our Church and there was a gala dinner party planned. It was Sunday, February 14th. I had intended on going, but that day my head was so cloudy, I couldn't gather enough strength. I wrote him a note. I said, "What a beautiful Valentine card you are presenting to the Lord today." (Afterwards, Deacon told me my letter was the most beautiful expression he received and he was going to save it in his album of the day's events.)

My parents went to the party. I lay in bed with a mixture of tears and prayers, looking at the Sacred Heart picture. All of a sudden the picture started pulling me, like a magnet (not my body -- only my mind was being pulled). I remember saying to myself, "I am not asleep. This is really happening." I felt I was going through a Garden -- all green grass. I knew there were all gorgeous flowers and trees on the outskirts, but I didn't see them. I just knew they were there. There was a flash through my mind ... I AM DYING. I said, "Please, God, not yet, I have so much to live for here. What will my Mother do when she comes home and finds me lying here?" Immediately I was jolted back. All this happened in a few seconds time.

THERE IS CERTAINLY A GOD.

AMEN and AMEN and AMEN.

The schizophrenic and similarly afflicted have been so humbled in their illnesses. Years ago, many of them were locked away in closets or in attics. Today's no different. They are still locked away in closets or in attics figuratively by the rude thoughtlessness of society.

"There but for the Grace of God, go I."

Schizophrenics have been humbled; someday many shall be exalted among men, if it be Holy God's Will. The humble shall be exalted.

A friend who I had recently met, years ago, a doctor from the Philippines, got to know me and my story, and he one day said, "Diane, I think you are going to be spokesperson for the mentally ill." Then he went on to say, "I never even thought about that before ... it must have been God speaking through me." ... from my lips to Holy God's Ears. In my weakness, I can't help those afflicted ... but I am able to do so maybe from my little room behind this computer.
