JESUS' EARTHLY FATHER ... HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Our late monsignor from the church I attend in his yearly Father's Day sermon always said that Father's Day is usually no big event. Mother's Day brings in many $$$ with flowers and dinners and phone calls ... but the Dad's Day dims in comparison.

That makes me think about St. Joseph the Carpenter. He seems to be left out, too. God chose him as part of The Holy Family. Joseph dearly loved Mary and the Child Jesus. With all his strength he provided for them until his death. He obeyed God and listened to the dreams and inspirations that God sent to him.

St. Joseph was truly a man devoted to Creator God and the family chosen for him ... to change earth's history.

On this Father's Day ... besides honoring my Dad ... chosen for me ... I give my love, honor, and devotion to the special Foster Father of Jesus, St. Joseph the Carpenter. Whenever I think of St. Joseph, my mind's eye sees him lovingly holding the tender Babe in his welcoming arms.

St. Joseph, I love you dearly. Happy Father's Day.

A-M-E-N and A-M-E-N.

In humble Faith, Hope, and Charity,

God chose Joseph out of all the other men of the time to be the head of the family to raise Jesus as a boy. God always knows what He is doing, and His wisdom is greater than ours any time. Your article was interesting to read. Thomas
