Author requests article critique

The Glass

The optimist they say
Sees a glass half full
Be thankful for what you have
However long it may last
Count your blessing
Enjoy each moment
Rejoice in the benefits the Lord bestows
See His goodness in the glass.

The optimist also in truth
Sees the glass half empty
Be thankful problems come, not to dwell
However large they seem to be
Rejoice in tribulations
Learn from each trial
Drink full the bitter medicine the Lord prescribes
See His goodness in the glass.
