Lessons from a Blade of Grass

I am just a blade of grass,
Small and overlooked by many,
Trampled and crushed by all,
Producing no flower or fruit.

I am just a blade of grass,
One color plain and simple,
Insignificant only one of many
With no value or worth.

I am just a blade of grass,
A lush carpet joined with others,
Making a soft bed on which to rest,
Providing food by sacrifice.

I am just a blade of grass,
Together painting a rich sea of green,
Counted one by one by my Creator,
With great value and worth.
