The Father’s Art
A painter paints an image she has seen
only in her heart or maybe in her dreams.
A singer sings a new song he has heard,
giving human voice to Spirit-whispered words.
A sculptor works the clay beneath his hands,
giving form to thought so we can understand.
Creation dredged from deeply wounded souls,
tearing them apart while making others whole.
Such works of art the Father loves to see,
flowing from the ones the Father caused to be.
But He creates the real works of art,
Unveiling the beauty he’s hidden in each heart.
