Majestic warrior, cradled in light,
Your rest is found; joy within grace;
Behold your place, found in His light;
Holy exhilaration, seeing His face;

Lay down your sword, you have come home;
The way now clear, not hindered by fears;
Your breath has ceased, you need not roam;
No more will you hear your enemy’s jeers;

Sin’s ache has been left, on dusty plain;
Confusion makes way for unending peace;
Before the King, stand in His reign;
Your work is done, the curse has ceased;

Bask in the love that never left;
See all the joy in your God’s eyes;
Know the liar’s schemes are made bereft;
You see before you your final prize;

Come to the City, not made with hands,
The promise made for all so chosen;
His kingdom’s seen, as He commands,
Hear saints sing, with chants ambrosian;

Time has no hold; neither does death;
Need no faith here, or holy hope;
You are sustained by divine breath;
His heart is now your mighty scope.
