Not only may my heart and flesh fail,
But they will, and disappoint so many;
But their strength is the Lord, my Hail,
In Whom I find mercy aplenty;

You are the best of me, Lord of all;
That which makes my face shine,
Since that day, on You, I called,
And I chose to make You mine;

Be the expanse of all my heart,
To make me as would please You;
Bring Your truth, to me, impart;
Make me faithful to declare You true;

Be the strength of all that is within me,
And the portion of that eternal part;
And I will realize in You I’m free,
To walk in grace poured from Your heart;

“Hear My heart, proclaimed to you,
And receive the grace I send;
Walk before Me, and be true,
Your heart I’ve sought to mend;

“What is My desire, but to make you Mine;
My joy fulfilled at your turning?
I will glory as you I seek to refine,
And My joy will leave you burning;

“I am your strength and portion forever,
As I’ve promised in My word;
For you, My grace and mercy I’ll not sever;
This, your heart has heard;”



“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”--Ps. 73:26
