Here I lie under a big oak tree,
autumn leaves whoosh by as they flee.
A mockingbird perches on the highest branch,
chirping tunes to make me dance.

I whirl, jump and dance around,
using a clump of leaves as my crown.
I swing to the left and to the right,
before I'm aware it is night.

I'm not afraid of the dark,
I've camped many nights in the park.
I love the tweeter of the birds,
the stomping feet of a deer herd.

Life is joyful as I explore the earth,
pick wild flowers and smell moist dirt.
I watch colorful leaves like kayaks,
flow through streams as wild geese quacks.

Watch as the sun calls it a night,
I'll wait for morning's brilliant sunlight.
God gave us a magnificent place,
causing a smile to grace our faces.
