There comes about a majestic Being,
Roaming throughout the earth;
And He comes to all, with power freeing,
Enabled He is, to cause a re-birth;

He hunts with a panting love,
Seeking all whom He is after;
He seeks to enact plans from above,
For He is most like the heavenly Master;

Once they are found, He ever stays,
Faithful He is, to Godhead’s end;
He loves to seek out the Father’s strays,
To restore His children, He sets to mend;

He grants to His own a divine fuel,
With wisdom to accomplish His task;
He helps us to be our Father’s tool,
Giving joy, in which we bask;

Send me, Lord, Your heaven’s Hound,
For I’m caught in anxiety’s pile;
I am lost, while still being found,
My heart’s against me; a rogue with guile;

And so I seek this Hound of heaven,
That He would enlighten me;
For He purged me of my leaven,
Setting out to set me free;

I earnestly seek His gentle hold;
Within His loving jaws;
He empowers me, to make me bold;
Inscribes on my heart magnificent laws.
