Man o’ light, whose eyes seen the dark,
Yet seeks his source, divine so bright;
To heed His love, which he may hark,
And by which he may, with light, fight;

Take the dark, wring its neck with light,
And know you are not fighting it alone,
And the lies, with truth, so fight;
There’s a brother with you, with God’s light shown;

Be courageous, O man o’ light,
Take conviction to be your sword,
When the dark speaks what is not right;
And fight with the love from your Lord;

Wrestle with grief, for comfort’s from Him;
Rise above this cloud, that sets you back;
On your knees, kill the din,
Find your place, in righteous track;

Then go to reward, with heart at peace,
Go to your love, from earth in heaven,
With spirit replenished, and at ease,
A joy released, and without leaven;

But for now, your place is here,
Far from where your heart desires;
With divine courage, find His cheer,
Bask among the passions of heaven’s fires;

And how, you may rightly ask,
Come to that place for which you’re borne;
It is by grace, you can bask,
With trust in salvation’s Horn;

Here is truth to find you free,
By the Horn, yet in dark sieve;
To rise from gloom, and find the glee,
As you move, and breathe, and live.
