I remember so well that day,
I found you high upon a rock;
All that was dark had your sway,
I was grieved, but not in shock;

My Father drew you, from that place,
I washed you with the purest water,
You stood with Me; before My face;
And saved you from the darkest hour;

And with joy, I was blessed,
Repentant heart, you gave me;
To see you bow, at My behest;
My joy requited, from the tree;

I showed you our great Father,
Just showing you, He’s like Me;
You saw you had many brothers,
And sisters dancing on My lee;

My delight was to have you,
Listening to Me, at My feet;
I could see the joy it gave you,
You were seeing yourself complete;

Then you left, I’ll not say why,
For too long, you weren’t with Me;
To get you back, again I’d die,
For I desire that you’d be free;

You were the hundredth, to be found,
This was My mission; all My heart;
To make your life again sound,
For My love ne’er parts;

So now your back, with greater fervor,
You hate the lie, with its death;
You love the truth, how it delivers,
And by it, gives second breath;

And so, My joy returns again,
My delight is here, and it is you;
I remember not, any sin,
As you see, I am true;

Again you are at My feet,
You listen to My every word;
Like Myself, you’re complete;
Your prayers I have joyfully heard;

I give you joy, in My light;
I give you truth, against the lie;
In your weakness, take My might,
When your lonely, I am nigh;

I’ll soon have you to Myself,
Where I am, you will be;
All My promises off the shelf,
For you are finally free;

I’ll sing to you, of My love,
With this love I’ll quiet you,
With so much gladness, gentle Dove;
For you are My joy true.



Author's Note: I wrote this for a very dear, named Melissa, a friend I know online. When I presented it to her, I was amazed to find out she had written a poem, when she first got saved, where she felt the Lord had named her "Dove". That was years ago, and I didn't know about it at the time this was written, as you see it.

I believe that confirmed that this poem was from Him, for her returning to Him.
