Many years ago, a friend and I had a morning radio broadcast.
We kidded about getting a fan letter which said, "When your
broadcast is on, we can't pull my husband away from the radio --
he's afraid someone will turn it on."

What turns you on -- food? What did you have for lunch
yesterday or three days ago or last Monday? You probably don't
remember, but it sustained you and kept you healthy, didn't it?

Some folks seldom read the Bible because they say they never
remember what they read. However, I believe the same principle
applies -- it still nourishes your soul and sustains you. Of course,
a lack of concentration could also be a factor in lack of
remembering. Sadly for some, it doesn't take much of an excuse.

In your Christian walk, if you want to GROW and GLOW, you
need to KNOW the Word -- there are no shortcuts -- no spiritual
Slim-Fasts®. Listen to this wonderful benediction from 2 Peter
3:18, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever.
Amen." No food -- no growth, and whether animal or vegetable,
even minimal food leads to stunted growth. Get into a group
Bible study. Studying the Word can transform one from a
spiritual runt to a robust Christian. Let's try it.
