O' hearts do not fret our God never forgets
and will keep each promise to us
So cast off your fears and wipe your tears
and forever on him to trust

The joy bells of praise will be heard
ringing out with a joyful voice;
O' sweet victory, we do thank God for thee
for in our Savior we do rejoice

Though there were times when tears did flow
just like a weeping willow tree;
But now God took each one into his hands
he did set our little hearts free

The wind filled rains could not contain
in what the heart had held inside;
The days of drought, that try to bring us doubt
no it was not a smooth ride

There were fears that try to halt our cheers
and it were days of touch and go;
But, O' sweet victory, O' sweet victory
our Savior he did let us know

That it was a test to bring forth the best
this was his plan for me and you;
So let's count it all joy for each trial run
for the victory is coming through

It will be well worth the wait moments
not a one was done in vain;
O' sweet victory, O' sweet victory
that's why we praise his name
