Well, hello Mr winter we were expecting you-
as we watch our lawns turn brown;
Trees that had green leaves, now are yellow
and all spread on the ground

The green grass lawns will soon be gone
our shady trees, will soon be bear;
And the flowery ones, they will fade away
O' winter, is popping up everywhere

That favorit flower bush we may see no more
now only sticks where they once grew
The warm sunny days, are now cool and gray
but still this is nothing new

We have had our Summer's fun in the sun
and took advantage of it each day;
But it's time to get out the shovel and boots
because, Mr winter is on his way

In the country the Turkey's are on the run
trying not land on the dinner plate;
For there's this month, that families will feast
and they all have set this date

Each Holiday comes around to make an entrance
and some do celebrate each one;
But there is this month, that out do them all
it's the celebration of God's only Son

For it does have a way of bringing much cheer
by sharing and giving to others;
And this is being showed all over the world
as love spreads out and covers

It's a time of the year the scenery will change
with it's snow on house's and land;
The Walnut trees will begin to drop it's fruits
that we open with a hammer in hand

Now I can't hardly wait for the Blue Jays
for they always come by every year;
It's if they sent reservations ahead of time
before the cold winter gets here

Children will be playing outside in the snow
church bells will be ringing at Xmas time
The living room couch, will become a stadium
when the sports hour, hits Dad's mind

So we welcome you Mr winter with open arms
and let God know we'll enjoy you too;
If we have endured the storms, hot days and rain
why not the winter can we get through
