I watched a show on how to create different effects with paint to give your
walls at home a new look, and it was fascinating to see what a difference it
made, and what little effort it took.

The walls were all painted with a pretty base color, this one went all over the walls in one shade, and once it was dry the next color was applied, with a sponge bits of that color were applied.

They were patted in till they blended quite well, and added a new look for sure, but some thing was still missing, the depth wasn't there, it just didn't have that special allure.

But then the finishing touch was applied; yet a third color was added to the wall, and once it was also blended in, it brought the beauty out, each color was subtle, but now you could see and appreciate them all.

And I thought of my life before I met you, like an unfinished wall not yet done - the base work was there, Jesus had become King of my life, He was Who I would follow, His way was the only one.

What I didn't realize all that time I was alone, that He was teaching and preparing me for more - for just when I thought my life was the way it would always be, that's when God gave me so much more.

He had waited for the right time, for just the right color, the one He wanted to add to my life, and when I met you, I knew you were the one who would cherish me and make me your wife.

Now the colors are all there, and I saw that it does take three to make the result full of depth and beauty from above, for it takes not just me, but me added to you, and when God is in the middle, there is true love.

We take new colors every day and add to the beauty of our lives, but the base color is there, the foundation of all we do, and because I waited and I trusted,
God gave me all my wishes, made my dreams come true.

Now I am filled with joy every day, adding color and depth with all I do, for every bit of color I add is another way to say, "I love you!"
