Now the whole world can be like an oyster
and you'll find some pearls in there
With the good and evil, all mixed together
then those that can come in a pair

But time is too short to play childish games
so let us lay the old man aside
In the flesh there lies, nothing, but mess
with no room for God to reside

Now don't fret of another's walk and talk
but keep the shoes you've got;
In God's time he'll let you- the pearl to shine
by acknowledging each bad spot

For does honor those with an honest heart
who admits they don't have it all together
And he gets joy in making, this kind for himself
so they will come out much better

Now if another's shoes don't fit don't wear them
just go ahead and wear your own;
And don't let other people put theirs on you;
even if you have to walk alone

For God can pass right over those other pearls
and pick you out of the bunch
Most times he looks at ones that's been rejected
while others think you're a dunce

But he had dug you out for a special reason
though cast aside you can be the top;
For he never did choose, the high and mighty
but went to the bottom of the crop

Don't feel envy that you're not of the in-crowd
for God doesn't see us as others do
O' pearl, thank the Lord, you are of the least
and just let his works prove you

Being like someone else it makes God jealous
so be the pearl made of his hand
You'll be glad, you were of those neglected
for what he makes it will stand

So if you want to have a lasting Holy Ghost
a real true flame, that won't go out
Then seek the path, that flows with peace
and you won't have any doubt

Don't be that cup that's clean on the outside
but inward it's another story;
And if it's so, that we know God's voice
then why try to take his glory

The war between good and evil it's on this road
but it's up to you which one to take
God gave us the choice, of which one to pick
but, take the good for your sake

I Peter 5;6 Humble yourselves therefore under
the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt
you in due time
