O' if some only knew of this joy we have
They'd ask for this water we drink
For if they do they wouldn't thirst no more
I'd pour like a faucet of a sink

Today when I was setting in my secret place
suddenly I felt my soul come alive
As God was filling my heart with his word
it was like I was on a high

Now a few yesterdays it was touch and go
for the battle it had got hot
But,again it wasn't so bad, it had it's time
though it did put me on a spot

I ought to want to experience some news steps
as I walk with the Lord each day
For yesterday's gone, but time moves on
so I better be on my way

We won't always have those few damp days
and problems, it won't always be
For there's a time to cry, and a time to laugh
it's in the word for us to see

But it's sad to say some allow some things
to come to steal the joy within
A lot of lukewarm stuff, to load them down
that should had been the end

My conversation won't be about Sal and Sue
for what does that do for me
Does it bring anything, to pick someone up
or will it sting like a bee

Now, it's you dead, they dead, what went wrong
and what can God do with that
Only a bunch of dry bones, that you need to bury
now somebody, needs to go to bat

Our enemy the devil is having a field day
but don't give him the room to gloat
But lets change our tactics so he can hang himself
and be the one that God will promote

Non those who's heart is open for his service
will take the armor of praise
For the devil hates that, when we praise God
and would love to end our days

Some of our battles they are out of our reach
and need the Lord to settle it for us
for these are those that we just can't fight
and have to put them in his trust

Now our soul does have a resting place
while we're on this route
And God will keep feeding us, every time
enough to knock the devil out

I got to wait until God gives me the go light
didn't cook it right yesterday, but it's ok
It is still on, the front burner, of my heart
and God can give me another day

So right now my soul is resting in the Lord
enjoying what I drunk this day
For there is nothing like his living water
it's so refreshing, what can I say
