This soul of mine has been with the Lord
and my heart had a talk with him
And he did answer me, with his word divine
at the time when it was dim

O' how he did touch my soul within
bringing life into my bones
And as I quietly sat with a child like spirit
as he spoke from his throne

It's somewhat hard to explain such a wait
it was like as a shining light
So over-whelming as it did enter my heart
and what was dark it now is bright

So many secret things he did show me
in the wee, wee, hours of despair
What can I say to explain these feelings
It's so much til it's hard to share

O' heart you have been in that secret place
where nothing but joy could bring
Give him glory for smiling down from up above
giving you a new song to sing

Our God he is doing so many great things
with his awesome and mighty power
And I will rejoice for being a part of it
and that is whatever the hour

So I got to testify on the mountain tops
and to tell it in the valley's low
And I'll run to the hills and rivers so deep
I have to tell it whatever I go

That there is a place where our God does dwell
so filled with peace and love
And so whenever you need a hiding place
just cry out to him above

Psalms 27:5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in his pavilion; in the secret
of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set
me upon a rock
