When my shoulders begin to weaken
and they won't up hold my head
The Lord's shoulders, are strong and firm
so I'll lean on his instead

I can count on him to keep me going
always there to help me to bear
When the trials of life begin to circle
he takes me into his care

They are to me like a pillow of comfort
where I can lay and rest in peace
And have no fears of, the storms that rise
he's able to cause them to cease

There is no better place where I can hide
for they are like a shield to me
That protects me from, the wars without
O' how strong his shoulders can be

I have made them to become my blanket
so to cover me day and night
And while I'm there, his power is known
glowing bright to be my light

Then when I'm thirsty he lets me drink
his word so to fill my soul
O' what strength, his shoulder's does carry
that makes me every bit whole

I can run to him with my each complaint
a great counselor, so wise and true
so I can lay it on the line, what's in my heart
and he'll wait until I'm through

His shoulder's can be a shelter for the weary
for to dwell whenever we are sad
And it matters not what the hour or time
they'd open up and be that pad

O what comfort to know we have a place
for to carry our burdens to
God's shoulder's are such, when we need rest
to help us to get through
