It's only by grace that I can make any boast
For without it my soul would be lost
Then along with it, came love and mercy
a Savior's bood was it's cost

If only the moon and stars could talk
they'd have the words to this song
For what they would sing, I'd be the truth
and no, they won't be wrong

They wouldn't add anything that was not so
they wouldn't keep me in the dark
But will shine their lights all through the night
and they will hit the mark

So if grace hadn't came where would we be
would we have a place under the sky
Both grace and mercy had plowed our grounds
and we can be glad they did stop by

Don't want to ever take them for granted
because they don't have to stay
For it can be here today and gone tomorrow
so it's good to know how to pray

Grace has open for me a many closed doors
yes in this very life of mines
By keeping my heart open for others
so it comes when it's my time

Whenever grace appears it makes things right
it puts things in order for you
For when things go wrong and out of your hands
God's love lets it come through

When his grace descends it will shine within
and to not let you worry anymore
When Grace's on throne, you'll never be alone
I'd meet you every time at the door

This humble road of grace has kept me straight
it's the truth and that's no lie
So when I look at all what God's done for me
I'm grateful, on me he let it abide
