O' how great thou art O' God of mercy
and so full of truth and grace
That does keep the soul from bowing down
so to continue in the race

What peace you doth render when it's needed
O' what joy that you let overflow
That does lift us up, above the heavy clouds
before the stormy winds do blow

His loving wings spreads wide to swoop us up
they cup and cover us like a hand
O' how his mmighty strong breast becomes a cradle
to get rest and strength to stand

O' thou great and Sovereign God so wise and true
who keeps check on every move we make
That does guide us while on, this heavenly road
so to teach us what steps to take

O' souls hear the sweet music right over our heads
as it rings down from up above
Like melodies of a song that we can carry within
for it comes with the power of love

What a Sovereign God he is that will intervene
and makes restitution for us each day
By forever showering down his grace and mercy
and it's each day that comes our way
