Have we looked at the heart windows lately
were they washed without and within
For to see through, with a spiritual eye
so that the natural eyes won't win
What about the rooftop which is the head
did we let doubts to enter our minds
Do we think to seal those terrible leaks
that seem to drip at times
For it will dampen the roof if left untended
letting in every damaging thought
And not very soon it will begin to sag
if we fail to keep what the word had taught
We have to keep, the building up in prayer
and try to keep it clean inside
And take thought in our steps before we move
and if we're wrong just swallow our pride
Do we make more room in our hearts
so God can put what he wants in there
And if so, then evil will have to go
For I'd be a bit hard for both to share
Now this house of ours it belongs to God
made for him only to dwell in it
And he only ask of us, to rent it to him
so lets try to keep it fine and fit
He doesn't get pleasure in shacking up
but wants to control every inch there is-
And to let him be the one to furnish the rooms
so he can say that we are his
He will keep, our feet planted and rooted
and establish it on solid ground
And no matter how strong the winds may blow
this house of his will never go down
