How many more a tears must one shed
I've about lost count somewhere
For soon as we wipe those from our eyes
there are more trials to bear

Now if it wasn't for the grace of God
that he gives to us each day
We wouldn't be able to withstand the test
that at times comes our way

There be times we have no thoughts at all
to just what each day may bring
but better still maybe it is for the best
for even a little hurt can sting

Sometimes you try hard to do all you can
to make sure the day goes right
But still in all, we know we must be tried
so we grit our teeth and hold on tight

But then soon one day we'll hear God say
I've come to wipe your tears
And I'd be your day to rejoice for awhile
now lay aside your worries and fears
