Out of burnt ash'es my soul did climb
up from it's grips I had came
From the many trails, that I had to burn
many I couldn't even give a name
Only the sky up above, had held the record
of the pillows my tears did soak
Not a day went by, that they didn't see my cries
and even saw them, when I awoke
Each day was numbered as I set all alone
not one handkerchief did come my way
I had to bear my griefs and carry my woes
only prayer did help me each day
My pathway was paved, with a many of sorrows
that became heavy beneath my feet
But I kept going on, with steps of hope, in front
that one day I would meet
Something to make me, appreciate this life
that a loving God had gave to me
And go beyond it's pains and grasp his promise
that he'll show me what I can be
The sad days I didn't know, would one day be stones
being all laid out, for my destiny
How was I to know, that they played a part
but, the heartaches wouldn't let me see
How God can take broken pieces and mend them back
and then take and make your life brand new
Never did enter my mind, that this could happen
I thought my life was over and through
Today I can say with joy, the hurts did pay off
and the pains, did bring a good pay
After meeting a Savior that can give things back
and then take, what was bad away
Now the sun up above is rejoicing with me
the moon and stars are giving it's light
For there were times, when I hid from them
but, now I welcome their sight
I live so now, that I can share my life
not to make it to seem so bad
but to make others know if God did it for me
why should he let others stay sad
The healing process, it takes longer for some
and it's not so easy, to just let go
But we have a loving Savior that's willing to wait
and all his mercy he will show
The best answer is to keep, it before his face
even if you have to cry every night
But, that is ok, God knows your heart
and soon he'll make it all right
