There remains an escape in this troubled times
for Jesus our bondsman holds the key
That can unlock the chains of bondage within
to set the captive free

From those things that come to capture us
trying to bind the soul within
But peace was given to secure it's dwelling
when they came like the wind

Sometimes even in quietness they do flare up;
so innocently they do try to show
But these also can cause a little bit of damage
that the heart don't always know

Then soon our thoughts begin to wonder
is there a place to run and hide
Will there ever be a way for us to escape
when being hit on every side

But don't fret the bonds-man is on his way
with words of comfort for thee
Letting us know he has felt our sorrows
and everything he did see

The Lord knows each and every exit
not a door can keep him out
Those problems we have they can be solved
and that is no doubt

For he closed every deal on the cross
he went to bail for you and I
And this brought every promise to be filled
for we have him on the inside
