My prayer is to keep this tree well pruned
so it's branches will always grow
With fruits of God that he's planted in me
and may they ever keep their glow

Let it bear fruits of love and kindness
and flourish with joy and grace
Let them spring forth with branches of mercy
help me keep them before your face

Lord help this tree to stay grounded in you
water my roots each and every day
So it's crops will keep spreading near and far
please help each one to stay

Shower down your rain from heaven above
so it can wash away the dirt
Which is evil things that tries to cling
to only bring much hurt

Help me not let any weeds grow around my trunk
help it stay clear of malice and hate
Lord tend to this tree with your caring hands
and my branche's they will celebrate

Lord keep it sprayed with joy and peace
so every limb will rejoice in you
And the leaves will flourish wide and pure
because you have helped it through

Seeing you hold our days in your hands
in the Summer, winter and fall
You was always there in all those seasons
and did beckon when they did call

Lord you saw the hours of constant prayers
knew every day we held up each hand
You even knew the times we wept in silence
and did wait for your command

So how can we but not to flourish
and reap what we did sow
Well hold up your branches the time is due
for all our blessing in a row
