Only a faithful God can bring up our flowers
through the fire, rain, sleet or snow
Though the ground be dry, he can send them by
and let them come forth and grow

So no more free cups of tea for this our life
we'll watch each flower bloom
We won't make others fat with not one sorrow
let them cast their doubts of doom

For we have already bore the pains of death
and we truly do know him
That's why we can smile even when it hurts
for he's our light when it's dim

We have tasted the Lord and found he is good
through the good and the bad
So anybody can sing a tune, but can't carry one
for all of their days are sad

God can give us our flowers all through the night
no matter the season, he owns them all
Though it be in the Summer, Winter or Spring
and can send them even in the fall

So don't let anyone give you their ground
for yours have already been laid
And it will be attended to, by a loving God
because all things he has made
