Written 8-01-05

Here is a vision of total surrender,
To the One who made the soul;
To give one’s heart; totally rendered,
And fully see one’s self is made whole.

To relinquish all weights and sins that ensnare,
The life so precious, the act seems mortal;
Yet given over, as if thrown to the air,
This death is soon followed by resurrection joyful.

All affections are cut off, it seems like real death,
Handed over to the Father, in unearthly abandon;
For the love of Christ, which is his breath,
The Father creates new life to hand him.

A life never known, is now clearly seen,
Intimacy with God, beyond carnal love;
The child realizes what the Father has dreamed,
A joy unspeakable, only from above.

A love realized, drives out all fear,
The grave barrier that shadowed His charity;
The slave is released, with happy tear,
He now sees what it means to be free.

This gift is for all, with one simple decision,
The only real hurtle is one’s own will;
But here is true Christ, proclaimed in His vision,
To truly see God, His will fulfilled.







Author's Note:
Here is something the Lord is showing me. I believe it is not meant only for me, but for all; even sinners as well as saints. It's a matter of willingness. Based on the following verses:

"'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says the LORD, 'thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.'"--Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NKJV)

"Then He said to them all, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.'"--Luke 9:23-24 (NKJV)

"'He must become greater; I must become less.'"--John 3:30 (NIV)

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."--Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)
