Sometimes we have to weather the storm
and not give into the fleshly mind
But to keep our eyes toward the hills
and leave the negative behind

There's a place in God that's well reserved
under shadowed wings we can go
A safe haven so warm, calm and quiet
when the ferocious winds do blow

Such comfort his wings do have and hold
that helps keep the soul each day
Lifting us high when about to give up
he then, sends grace our way

In the darkets hours he is there
in our lowest state he renders peace
In the swelling rivers, his presence is known
when trouble rise, he makes it cease

Sustaining power our God does supply
from his wings, strength is given to us
To help keep our heads above the problems
for under them we surly can trust

Lo' in the valley of depression;
in the lowest depths of despair
The Lord of host will quench the thirst
he will mend, restore and repair

There is no situation beyond his control
nor any damage that he can't undo
So rest on his word, the wings of comfort
for all his promise's does hold true
