Encouragement

Now if our God didn't-
come by today,
My purpose is to keep;
what he did say

That he did hear-
his children's righteous cry
And that very soon,
he will be by

Now though the day is over-
but it is never through,
God will keep his promise
he made to me and you

Our weeping only may be-
just for a night;
But God he is still able
to make things right

We don't really know or just why
that God delays his time;
But I know he holds the answers
for his thoughts are not like mine

Now O' precious souls have patience
for his days are not like ours;
And if he fail to come the day we ask
don't fret, he works at all hours

So with this faithful promise
we can rest and wait;
Take him at his every word
for he is never late
