I thank the Lord for the sun today
also did thank him for the rain
Then suddenly, the electric went off;
but still I won't complain

Though I did say, what a time to go off
for outside it was kind of hot
But I shook it off right after it came
though it did put me on a spot

Then I thought what is life without some heat
why not accept it, if it lets you live
Give God honor for letting me see this day
for they all are his to give

Now if the bad ones didn't wipe me out
thank God that I'm still here
O' the splenders of life can blow the mind
when we find ways to cheer

I thought of a child as they smile at you
after throwing their little fit
And how God did allow this precious moment
to enjoy each and every bit

These blessing that God has given to us
While here under his skies of blue
And letting us to enjoy the sun up above
all of them he gives to me and you
