While watching the clouds pass over
right after the pouring rain
And I thought to myself, nothing last forever
nor does it stay the same

For suddenly the sun peeped througn the clouds
and began to bring some light
Then all at once, a relief came over me
and the dreadful moment it got bright

When the weathers bad it kind of dampens things
for it covers so much space
Because while in wait, it's nothing we can do
so it is with the problems we face

One day it's sunny and all going well
another time it's going down hill
And within the heart, there's a tug of war
the negative up against the will

But I often say God is looking at us
to see if, we'll fight or bail out
Will we give up instead of seeing it through
and believe we will win the bout

There won't be dark clouds all the time
so look at the bad ones like a passing fad
That's here today and gone tommorrow
even if a few, did make us sad

Knowing life will have it's days of sorrows
and will overshadow us with pain
But pick up your little heart and say to it
we will ride out this rain

By looking beyond the dark clouds
lay them on God, for he can handle it
You see he knows how, to control the weather
and will catch it in his big mitt

Oh what comfort to know he cares so much
in whatever we're going through
So tell the clouds good-by, he's on the way by
to let the Son shine for me and you
