The camera is rolling fixed on you and me
and the word action' fills the air
Then the question is, What role will we play?
will we accept the part with care

When life throws you and I a leading role
will we bulk and miss the chance
To prove that we can handle the scenes
and offer something to enchance

Even though some roles may be a bit hard
and we have to put more, elbow in it:
For this might be the time of our lives
to show best in where we will fit

To excel and reach for greater heights
some roles are given to prove one's place
And it will put us under that spotlight
with certain lines we have to face

It will carry us through some rehearsals
making sure we know each plot
And when the time to present it's actions
yes, life will put us on the spot

While setting on the casting couch
the spectator's will be scouting me and you
Watching to see, what we're made of;
so will we play it out the whole way through

So do you see that we are in the spotlight
chosen to play certain parts in life
Let the camera's roll, go on and reach your goals
for we alone can control the knife

For it's up to us to say the word cut
from start, the middle and the end
And the picture we present can well be a hit
so say to life, let the action begin
