What do they call pastors in Germany? German Shepherds!

First Bosnia, then Afghanistan, now Iraq, maybe Korea -- where
next? It seems like we are policing the whole world, but we
shouldn't have to. That's the United Nations job, but they aren't
doing it -- they seem inept. I'm concerned about the future of the
world for my grandchildren -- are you?

The entire Arab/Muslim world hates us, and because we have to
defend ourselves from their terrorists, we are often looked at as
bullies. In Iraq we will be looked at by many in the world as
aggressors.

What can we as individuals do about it? Probably, precious little.
World events have a path all their own and evil leaders come and
go. Our resource is a strong faith in God that no matter what
comes, He will protect us and give us the strength to deal with it.

Christians from the time of the cross to now have often had to deal
with despots, and many have suffered and still are suffering
cruelties for the sake of Christ. Truth is, in America we've had it
soft and gotten off pretty easily.

Psalm 23 is a comfort for all ages of time and it ends like this (vs.
6), "Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my
life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Depend on
it. As the saying goes. "I don't know what the future holds, but I
know who holds the future" -- for me!
