Here is an age old question. A question that is so important to the foundation of our beliefs in God and His Son. It is a question that I know that you will not allow me to answer. So instead, I will tell you the path it has lead me down.

But before we continue let us start with a few scriptures to ponder as we go.

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Christ is an exact image of God Himself. Adam was also created in the image of God. Both had no sin. There was no iniquity in Christ or for that matter Adam and therefore none in God.

2 Corinthians 5:20Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. 21For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.


So I had to ask myself, where in the world did evil come from? Another important question I asked myself, “If Adam sinned, and all men sinned and if Jesus was also a man (the Son of Man), how come He didn’t sin?”

So God showed me in His Word that He did something unusual. The first Adam, He split into two (Adam and Eve) and the last Adam, He took two and made them into one (the Son of Man and the Son of God). Then He did something even more amazing, He told us that He was willing to make sinners, one with Him. “ ‘and the two shall become one flesh.’ 32This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church” and when the two (man and the Spirit of Christ) are made one, they will be made Holy again.
