Faith

(Note to readers: If you have not read part 1, this may not have as much meaning.)

It is wonderful to have visions of Heaven, but we won’t be able to get there until God’s timing says so. So we must bide our time until then and put our Faith in God and do His will here in this world, for now. Keeping our eyes on Heaven will give us Hope for the place that we can truly call Home. As for now, we can just make this world an adventure and a chance to bring as many Home with us that are willing to accept their King.

When we are in Heaven we will remember our individual sins no more. But I truly believe that we will remember that we all were once sinners. In this way Jesus will always hold a special place in our hearts, as the one who could die for us, because He had no sin. He will remain as God with us and the Spirit of God in us. It would keep all of us humble, never knowing what sins we committed, but knowing that we did. If we remember sin and the trials and tribulations that it brought, then we would not be ignorant as Adam was, and would not need to sin all over again. Once I am free of sin (disobedience), I know that I won’t want to go through needing to get rid of my pride all over again. I want to be eternally free from pride and sin. I want to remain God’s humble servant for eternity. God’s servants are much better cared for than even the richest men of this world ever dreamed of being treated. Better to be a servant of God than a slave to this sinful world.

Our relationship with each other will be better in Heaven if we remain humble. Anything that will keep us humble will be necessary in Heaven. So whatever I imagine Heaven to be, I ask myself, “Does it have anything to do with pride”. If it does then I exclude it from my vision of Heaven.

1 Corinthians 15
24Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27For "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Ephesians 1
15Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Luke 15
The Parable of the Lost Son
11Then He said: "A certain man had two sons. 12And the younger of them said to his father, "Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood. 13And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. 14But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. 17"But when he came to himself, he said, "How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." 20"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21And the son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son. 22"But the father said to his servants, "Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry. 25"Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27And he said to him, "Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.' 28"But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29So he answered and said to his father, "Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.' 31"And he said to him, "Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found."'
