Battling the Enemy From Within



What is the enemy from within? Is it our greatest fear or worse insecurity? Individuals have so many dreams and aspirations yet are paralyzed by some unknown force. People looking in always have a quick fix solution, forever wondering what is keeping you bound. You become the butt of jokes, treacherous teasing but to you the blockage is real. What you are afraid of you do not quite know. You ponder, worry, sulk, get frustrated, angry but the wall is always there-- preventing you from propelling forward. Why can’t you lose that excess weight; start that home based business or expand on that brilliant idea? We each are uniquely made in the womb, each given our own gifts and talents, created for purpose and divine destiny. Jeremiah 1:4 states before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. Basically, this statement is screaming GOD knows you are SOMEBODY and it is time for you to know it too.
Currently, I am unemployed, an inch away from being homeless, no job prospects knocking at the door yet all my bills are getting paid, food is on the table and in the refrigerator. I am blessed by the mercy of God, his son and my family. I am truly blessed beyond imagination. The time has finally come where I can spread my wings, fly as an eagle, soar to my highest potential. My mother says write, my dad proclaims I can go back for my master’s, my sister encourages me to start the business I have been mentioning meanwhile I am shaking in my boots. For every tribulation there is a silver lining purpose, a hidden blessing in disguise. This may be true but when you are in the mist of the storm, you are CLUELESS! All you know the money is getting low, the bills are coming again next month, the phone is not ringing for an interview, you bank account is looking scarce and pursuing your destiny is the farthest away from your mind. Yet your loved ones are yelling concentrate on the solution and forget the problem; easier said than done. Everyone knows that the problem it the biggest out the equation, it is the one that grabs the most attention; the one draining you from your joy and sense of security. When life seems bigger than you, there are two choices available. You can let it beat you down with lemons or you can slice them up add some sugar, ice and water, for a satisfying taste of lemonade. You can worry or walk out on FAITH. The Bibles declares we are to walk by faith and not by sight. Many people today quote this scripture but when it’s time to pay the piper, they go home running. Stand Firm for through Jesus all things are possible.
