Releasing the Power of God
Freedom from Bondage


Bondage. Until we release the strongholds over our lives, we suppress the power God has given us as believers. 2Timothy 1:7 (NIV) eloquently states, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” Once we confess the Lord as our Savior, we no longer have to be bullied by Satan and temptation. We instantaneously inherit the kingdom of heavens with all the fringe benefits. We must stand firm in our rights as Christians. We do not possess a weak spirit; Christ died so we may be free and live a life of abundance. So many equate abundance to wealth, but it elevates beyond material value. The abundance provided by Christ embraces unlimited peace, infinite love, eternal life, and freedom from societal standards. When you truly embrace your new identity in Christ, you no longer have cares of the world. You no longer chase the cookie cut American Dream, the one society depicts as success. You exceed beyond the elementary minds of secular people, who slave for material possessions. You realize your debts have already been paid by the one who loves us most. The power of God goes under used and we never fully tap into its endless possibilities. We serve a magnificent God, a spirit beyond describable words yet God states by accepting his son, Jesus, we also possess his power. We must activate it through faith. Faith is the trigger mechanism of the divine gun. Faith can be placed in three different categories: Buffet Faith, Vegetable Faith and Crumb Faith. Roman 14:1-4 (NIV) perfectly explains the difference by saying, “One man’s faith allows him to eat everything but another man, who faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not and the man who does not eat everything must no condemn the man who does, for God have accepted him. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?”
Basically, each of us has a choice in how much will trust God for and it is determined by the size of our faith. Buffet Faith is described above as someone who eats everything. They know the power of God and completely trust God for their blessings. Fear runs from this kind of faith because of defeat. Fear can not trample over Buffet faith yet it may try with Vegetable Faith. The second type of faith depicts believers who trust God for some things yet still worry about other areas of their lives. Believers with Vegetable Faith sometimes take matters into their own hands and run back to God when situations become uncontrollable. Vegetable Faith can not fully access the wonders of God. We must trust God completely even when the tidal waters are beneath our nose, we must know God will make a way out of no way. Crumb Faith is the weakest of them all, however God states, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to the mountain move here to there and it will obey. So God can even use Crumb Faith. Why settle for crumbs when you can have a buffet of blessings, the total abundance from God? Wake up and realize the power you have as a Christian. Make Satan crumble beneath your feet when he attacks; make him feel the wrath of God. This can only happen by tapping into your divine power. Let God accomplish great works through your faith. Don’t suppress his power with fear or mediocrity. We are creatures of excellence because we belong to omniscient, omnipresent Creator. We must embrace this excellence wholeheartedly. I’m enclosing a passage segment written by Marianne Williamson, it captures the essence of our divine purpose. I wish every being could read this article. "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." Recognize. Realize. Embrace. You are uniquely made, stop settling instead soar to the highest elevation of your infinite potential. Let God move through your Buffet Faith and accomplish the impossible.
