Lost in a world of infinite suffering
Confined to the hope of my soul
I find contentment in the smiles and tears
Of those whose paths cross mine
A moment, a liaison, a rendezvous
A hand held loosely in time
The shadows of many have pierced my own soul
My scars pour forth oil & wine
If the eyes are the window to my heart
Then why has no one seen inside?
For deep within this well of hope
Lies a child
To be held
That I may cry
