Dear God,

I’m not sure how to make it through the day.
I wish there were some other way than through the pain.
Would you grant me the peace I seek?

Serenity

I can not change the past but how do I accept it?
How do I live with the memories that haunt my mind?

Acceptance

How can I face man’s inhumanity to man?
How do I face the past?

Courage

The only thing I can change is my future
I can not undo the past
Would you grant me knowledge?

Wisdom

Would you help me to honor my life, the truth?

Radical Acceptance

ONE SECOND AT A TIME
ONE MOMENT AT A TIME
ONE HOUR AT A TIME
ONE DAY AT A TIME

Would you help me to live above my past?
Teach me the way to live one moment at a time and truly live.
Not my will but yours, Lord.

Surrender
