We have a friend who often broke into song because he couldn't
find the key -- think about it.

Do you ever get to feeling that God isn't there for you, that you
doubt if He cares about your situation or problems? You pray and
pray and pray, and nothing seems to happen?

We need to be realistic and realize that God doesn't always solve
all our problems for us, and that He has given us the brains to
"work out our own salvation" by doing all we can to not only get
out of trouble but to organize our lives so we don't get into trouble
in the first place. We shouldn't dump everythng on God and expect
Him to constantly bail us out when we foul up.

Psalm 119:89-90 (nlt) says, "Forever, O Lord, your word stands
firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation (in-
cluding ours), as enduring as the earth you created." God is there
for you -- always has been and always will be. Count on it, but
don't take advantage of the situation -- we need to be responsible
for living a Godly life to the best of our ability so that problems of
our own creation will be minimal.

We are living in an age when no one wants to accept responsibility
for anything (unless it's something to brag about). Christians need
to lead the way by being responsible for our own actions.
