God reminded me again today that I do not have to try to measure up to any other standard. He is the standard that I strive for, knowing that it can never be attained. Still, I get closer for trying and drawing nigh unto Him.

I am not interested in building an empire, only His kingdom. It is not about me, and boy am I glad.

He is my Source, my Righteousness, my Shelter and my Strong Tower. I am so thankful for His sweet, sweet presence. I do not want to move unless He moves me. I only desire to go where He leads.

He has led me through the desert and provided for my need. I ate of His manna, though I did not deserve His provisions as I have grumbled. Although I took detours, He led me through the Jordan into His promised land for me.

I must stop looking back over the hurts or fearing the future. I hold tight to the gift of faith He has so mercifully given me. Now is something I must experience because it will never come again.

I am enjoying His presence, basking in His love. His voice is so gentle. I can’t live a day without Him and I am so very glad that I never, ever have to experience that. Praise God!
