Fluff two or three soft pillows
To make a place to rest your head
Settle down underneath the covers
Sleep while angels surround your bed.

Close your sleepy eyes and wonder
If God is sleepy too
Is that why he sent his angels
To keep a close eye over you.

Sleep soundly through the night
There is nothing for you to fear
God sent all of his angels
You can feel their presence here.

God will never close his eyes
Because of his care for you
He sent angels for your comfort
So you will sleep the whole night through

In the morning when you wake up
You will get on your knees to pray
And thank God he sent his angels
Now enjoy the rest of your day.
