GIVE THANKFULLY

The Word of God says "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thess 5:18. Giving Thanks is God's message to us everyday. The Word encourages us to Give Thanks and Thankfully Give. It is God's will that we have a heart of gratitude towards Him. In good times, Give Thanks; In adversity, Give Thanks; Give thanks in every peak and in every valley of your life. When we give thanks, it pleases God. "Oh that I may live a life pleasing to God."

I am thankful for the things I have received from God (they are too numerous to mention), but it's especially humbling to be able to Thank God for my ability to "GIVE". I thank Him for Benevolence, the disposition to do good. No matter how much or how little I have, I can give, and give thankfully. I can give my time to share with a person who is in need. I can give my talents to encourage someone who is losing hope. I can give a prayer to God for a fellow Christian. I can give the truth of the gospel to some person who has long since forgotten what receiving feels like. I can give freely of my finances to alleviate someone else's economic hardship. I can give out of the blessings that God has given to me, and I can be thankful about it.
We've been charged by the Word to give thanks to God for His Goodness, for He is good. Part of His goodness is His gift of giving, and he has given this gift to us. As you reflect on the many blessings in your life, pause to consider your heart's capacity to give. "It is more blessed to give than to receive", and when we give, we avail ourself to become the instrument that God uses to bless others.
Giving Thankfully makes you a catalyst of God's will. As you think about your "giving", it should make you feel good to be reminded of what you have given to others. If it doesn't. . . It should encourage you to give more.
