Someone told me that I wasn't really short but that I'm just
vertically challenged. That's an encouragement and a kinder way
of saying I'm 4 feet 17 inches tall.

I have an E-Cheer friend who also had a stroke, and it seems that
he has more stroke related issues with which to deal than I do. In
spite of it, he keeps coming up smiling and even has a prison
ministry. He's an encourager. Are you? You can and should be.

We all have our aches and pains, but compared to some, we are in
great shape and should be encouragers to others. Isaiah 41:6 (nlt)
says, "They encourage one another with the words 'Be strong'."
We can do that -- every one of us can. We can give courage to
someone who feels like they have lost all courage. The world is
full of them -- look around you and observe.

Psalm 138:3 says, "When I pray, you answer me; you encourage
me by giving me the strength I need." If God sets the example as
an encourager, shouldn't we follow by doing the same? Some folks
are so "down" that it doesn't take a heroic effort on our part to give
them a boost. So be a booster to someone -- today!
