Declaration Of Dependance- God’s Spiritual Presence In Me

 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,  for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:`19-20 ESV

We come, find Jesus to be our Redeemer. This is just the beginning of years walking by faith. To understand and recognize; God created each one of us on purpose for His purpose. Our Lord’s purchase through Jesus makes us His ‘personal property,’ to create in us a representation, the voice of His holy Spirit. Putting God’s word in our heart to become a ‘Doer of God’s word!’ James 1:22.

When I look at myself in a mirror, I remind myself Who I belong to.

 ‘For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing’. James 1:24-25

My Declaration of Dependance is putting to work God’s word in my actions of daily living throughout my days. Not to be defined as walking around with a sandwich board over my shoulders with scripture on it. But with a new Spiritual driven heart, I choose to listen, and act, and speak, in a manner worthy of God’s temple in me.

As new creatures in Christ, we’re challenged to want others to witness Christ’s character and love. Not the mirror image of the old person of fleshly desires. Yes, it’s a lifelong journey we’re on, learning to be Christ’s disciple. 

Someone reminded me; ‘to be filled up with the Spirit, is to controlled by the Spirit.’

Father, thank you for your Holy Spirit, to be my sufficient dependance, as representation of Your Temple working daily in me as your bond servant.
